Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Master Solace (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Solace mobile application and related websites (the “Service”). We believe a sanctuary is only as good as its walls — so we collect as little as the Service needs to function, and we tell you exactly what and why.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect the email address you sign up with and a secure hashed password. If you sign in with Apple, we receive a token and the email you authorize.

Your content

Affirmations, reflections, and favorites you create are stored in your account so they are available across your devices. We do not read this content except as required to operate the Service or respond to a lawful request.

Subscription and purchase information

When you purchase a subscription, our payments provider (RevenueCat, through the Apple App Store) processes the transaction. We receive a record of the product purchased, the renewal status, and an anonymous identifier. We do not receive or store your credit card number.

Analytics and diagnostics

We use PostHog for product analytics to understand which features are used and where people get stuck, and Sentry to collect crash reports and errors. These services receive anonymous or pseudonymous event data (for example: “paywall viewed”, “trial started”, device model, OS version). They do not receive your affirmations or reflections.

Device and usage information

We collect limited technical information to operate the Service, including device type, operating system version, language, and approximate time zone.

2. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To sync your content across your devices.
• To process subscriptions and respond to support requests.
• To understand how the Service is used, in aggregate.
• To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and technical issues.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Service providers

We share information with a small set of trusted providers who perform services on our behalf. Each is bound by a written agreement to use your information only for the purposes we specify.

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• RevenueCat — subscription entitlement and receipt validation.
• PostHog — product analytics (anonymous or pseudonymous).
• Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.
• Apple — App Store distribution and billing.

4. What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your affirmations or reflections to train machine learning models.
• We do not show advertising and we do not share data with advertising networks.

5. Your choices

You can export or delete your account and content at any time from the app’s settings, or by emailing privacy@mastersolace.com. Deleting your account removes your content from our production database; backups are retained for up to thirty days before being purged.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or the CCPA — including the right to access, correct, or port your data, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

6. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove it promptly from active systems and from backups within thirty days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

7. International transfers

Solace is operated from the United States and your information is processed there. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.

8. Children

Solace is not directed to children under thirteen and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, notify you in the app.
